Have a great time on your break. I&#039;ve just stumbled across your blog and it&#039;s a fantastic resource I intend to use regularly.

Re the simple things - it is common sense, but from my experience people believe that communications have to be more &#039;complex&#039;, so over-complicate messages. As an ex-journo, I find editing comms materials is often the same as coverting press releases into news articles - get rid of the irrelevant spin and concentrate on the who, what, why, when and where.
